Yorkshire Sculpture Park

It was my birthday yesterday and Graham suggested a visit to YSP in Bretton near Wakefield, Yorkshire. It was something a little different to our normal walks and although it was cold and cloudy it was dry.

Here are a few photos of the installations we saw around the grounds of the park. Some of them are not really to our taste but there was quite a variety of styles.

My favourites are the later photos showing Mother Nature's own installations. :)

  2. Beautiful countryside--looks like Spring is beginning. Fascinating sculptures, Chris. The animal heads show so much detail. Perhaps the group of flat-faced people is the Yorkshire version of the Chinese terra cotta warriors! Thank you for posting these. Belated Happy Birthday!!
